Demand for commercial property remains strong
According to the latest UK Commercial Property Market Survey for Q4 2016, from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), demand for commercial property rose for the second quarter running following the Brexit vote. Investment enquiries rose across all sectors.

Strong Upturn in Workplace Activity Seen
In the latest ‘Household Finance Index’ from IHS Markit (HFI), released in mid-February (which is designed to anticipate the change in consumer spending behaviour), it was disclosed that their research has shown the strongest upturn in workplace activity for 14 months, as job insecurity continues to reduce and income levels have increased since the turn of the year.

No ‘silver bullet’ to fix housing crisis
The Housing Minister, Gavin Barwell MP, told a recent conference for the National Association of Estate Agents that the crucial shortage of new housing in the UK could not be solved by a single ‘silver bullet’ solution, but rather by a number of ‘small adjustments’.
