45% of investment in UK from overseas buyers
The independent property agent Knight Frank have reported that 2016 saw 45% of commercial property investment in the UK coming from overseas investors. This amounted to £1.1bn.

PM sends letter to the EU triggering ‘ARTICLE 50’
“We are leaving the European Union, but we are not leaving Europe and we want to remain committed partners and allies to our friends across the continent.”
With these words, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May, signed off her letter to the European Union (EU) Council President Donald Tusk.

Building Society calls for Stamp Duty reform
Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) was left disappointed following the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Spring Budget on 8th March, as no change was announced in the Stamp Duty regime. The building society had called for the tax to be reformed and converted to a liability on the seller rather than the buyer of property.
