Brexit fears discounted in London Office market
Central London saw leasing activity rise to 13.84 million sq. ft.in 2017, which represents a two million sq. ft. increase on theprevious year, according to a recent report from the surveyors Knight Frank. Much of this demand came from the everexpanding UK Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector.

BANK OF ENGLAND SIGNALS EARLIER RATE RISE
The Bank of England (BoE) has indicated that interest rates are set to rise sooner and by a greater extent than it previously anticipated. While the nine-member Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) unanimously voted to leave rates unchanged following February’s meeting, new guidance was issued suggesting that the pace of monetary tightening is likely to accelerate if the economy remains on its current track.

First-time buyers reach a ten-year high
One of the UK’s biggest mortgage lenders, Halifax, has reported that the number of first time buyers in the UK has reached a ten-year high at 359,000. The average deposit for these purchases has climbed by 91% over the last decade.
